Western Farm Advisors was founded to help farmers and agribusinesses navigate the challenges of capital needs, real estate, mergers & acquisitions, and business exit strategies. Our services provided include structuring and execution of mergers or acquisitions, purchase and sale of agribusiness property and or operations, debt and equity financing of agriculture and agribusiness, along with consulting, due diligence, and fiduciary receivership services.
Western Farm Advisors focuses on permanent orchard crops, vineyards, and row crops in the highly productive growing regions within the Pacific Northwest. We are located and live in the markets we serve. Our experience and understanding of local growing areas, water accessibility, micro-climates, and local market dynamics benefit our clients and differentiates Western Farm Advisors.
Western Farm Advisors maintains two physical office locations in both central and western Washington. We strive to offer comprehensive solutions for farm and agribusiness owners and investors alike.
OUR TEAM
JAY GRAHAM | Managing Director
Jay brings more than 25 years of experience in agricultural investments and asset management. Prior to forming Western Farm Advisors, Jay held positions with prominent agribusiness institutions such as Hancock Ag Investment Group, Wells Fargo National Ag team and served on the C-Suite of several startups. He earned a B.S. in Agricultural Business from Washington State University with an emphasis on commodity risk management. Jay is a graduate of the executive agribusiness program for agricultural producers TEPAP.
STU KERBER | Managing Director
Stu has 20 years of commercial banking and finance experience in the Pacific Northwest. Previously he focused on specialized financing structures for agriculture and utility sectors with CoBank and was involved in the founding of a De Novo commercial bank. Stu was introduced to the nursery business at a young age in the Midwest prior to moving to the northwest. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Gonzaga University and is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at University of Pennsylvania.
Don Colter | Managing Director
Don has over 30 years of experience in agricultural finance, real estate acquisition and farm management. He has worked for Manulife Investment Management, Hancock Agricultural Investment Group, Wells Fargo Bank and other agricultural finance institutions. Don earned an M.S. in Agribusiness from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Arizona. In addition, he is an Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) and Accredited Agricultural Consultant (AAC) with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Don has a broad range of agricultural experience that includes fruit trees, a wide variety of row crops, livestock, dairy, poultry, along with first and second stage agricultural processing companies in multiple geographies including Pacific Northwest, Mountain West, Southwest and Texas.
